Pencil, Pokemon, and Fate Saga

With today’s meeting, we welcomed three new members to the group.  Two of them said they’d come back on Monday, which is good news, as it means the club is growing.  I hope that it continues to grow over the coming year!

Emi-kun was able to show her animation brilliance off to two of the new people by showing them how to operate Pencil.  Cloud-chi worked hard in Photoshop on a picture of Purin that refused to cooperate.  I updated the blog with its shiny new theme, Blix!  Thanks to Blix, we’re able to operate excerpts on the front page.  Since our posts tend to be rather long-winded, this can only be a good thing.

Now, at the end of the meeting, we’re winding down.  Only four kids remain in the meeting room (Purin said she’d come back later, though).  Emi-kun and Cloud-chi are taking advantage of the silence to trade some Pokemon in their Diamond and Pearl games.  I am taking advantage of the same silence to post this amazing update for the world.

I’m also using the time to read the latest updates on Dana Corrigan’s proposed animated series Fate Saga.  I’ve been following it for a while, and am excited to see how it’s progressing.  Until October they’re doing a fundraiser on Kickstarter, and Fate Saga’s production team is going to be at Anime Weekend Atlanta later this month.  Check it out and wish them luck!
