Ten Under Ten Week 1: Fantasy Novels

Hi, everyone! Today we’re starting a new Wednesday feature that we call Ten under Ten! Each week, we’ll compile a list of ten things–whether it be books, movies, videogames, websites, blogs, whatever–and everyone in the Cyber Creations Club will review each of them in ten words or less. Here’s the first ten items, with a focus on fantasy novels:

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling

Peanut: Good book. Good plot and good security plan at Gringotts.

Cloud: I like this book. :3

Purin: Love it. Magic + Purin = World Destruction xD

River: This entire series is so awesome.

Koko: Hogwarts is awesome. So is Fluffy. And J K Rowling.

The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis

Pauline Baynes

Peanut: Good book, kind of cliche.

Cloud: Aah, this is a very nice book.

Purin: I like this series~

River: This is seriously the best C.S. Lewis book ever.

Koko: The witch is weird, Aslan is weird, Edmund is weird.

Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll

Peanut: I wish i could sleep that much.

Cloud: Hmm. . . It’s a good book!

Purin: Love all things Alice~

River: Wonderland is so strange and yet so wonderful.

Koko: THE CHESHIRE CAT! That is all.

Redwall by Brian Jacques

Peanut: urmm never read it.

Cloud: This book is awesome.

Purin: Err… what?

River: Peanut. Purin. WHAT DO YOU MEAN, YOU HAVEN’T READ IT???

Koko: I put a bunny in it once. *

The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief

Peanut: Great cross between now and ancient.

Cloud: It’s a very interesting idea, and a good book.

Purin: Interesting (in a good way).

River: A fun take on the Greek myths.

Koko: I like Annabeth and Chiron.

Mister Monday by Garth Nix

Peanut: creepy people, good book.

Cloud: . . . ? What book is this. . . ?

Purin: …>

River: Creepy and kind of boring. Interesting idea, though.

Koko: Never heard of it.

Once Upon a Marigold by Jean Ferris

Peanut: haven’t read it.

Cloud: Hehehehehehehe. . . This is a good book.

Purin: Pretty flower~ Don’t know the book.

River: Rightly described as an “everything-but-the-kitchen-sink comedy”.

Koko: Again, never heard of it.

Castaways of the Flying Dutchman by Brian Jacques

Peanut: haven’t read it.

Cloud: Yes, this book is also awesome. :3

Purin: GAH! The flying dutchman!

River: I want Ned.

Koko: Pretty sure I checked it out once. Didn’t read it.

Inkheart by Cornelia Funke


Peanut: Long and drawn out.

Cloud: . . . I have not read this book. . . *rushes off to find it*

Purin: First book was good, rest is too looooong

River: It just goes on, and on, and on. . . .


The City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau

Peanut: Good if you like messed up books. too drawn out.>

Cloud: This is a nice book.

Purin: Guess I like messed up books Peanut >xD

River: . . . Peanut, your idea of “messed up” is unusual, you know?

Koko: Never read it, nope nope nope.
